John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched many people through his music. Most of his songs have roots in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. is a New Mexican born musician and singer who fell in love with Colorado. Many people took the road towards Colorado due to Denver's famous tunes for the state he was raised in. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the curator of this hall of fame said: "I don't believe there is another performer that embodies Colorado as John Denver." Denver was inducted into the Hall of Fame as its the first member in 2011. For many, Denver is the symbol of Colorado. On my trips I've had the pleasure of meeting individuals from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform them you're from Colorado the first words they say are"Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's first Top 10 Hit as a solo artist after having worked with small folk groups. The song was composed by Bill Danoff. Danoff had written the song in the spirit of Johnny Cash, but Denver was able to hear the song's early versions and was aware that the song would be a top 10 hit. Following the performance on stage in Washington D.C. to a huge crowd, the singer released the song a couple of days from now.
